Mr. Ralph Michael (Mike) Myers, 67, of Frederick passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of 47 years, to Frances Kathryn Myers. They were married on November 15, 1964, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Urbana, MD. Born October 10, 1944, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Roger (Buzz) Hume and Rachel Gertrude (Darr) Myers. He was a 1962 graduate of Frederick High School. He retired from the plumbing trade after many years of service. He was an avid gardener and cared graciously for his 450 different kinds of roses. He also was a lifetime fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed Fran's home cooking and spending quality time with his family. In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by one daughter, Shelia M. Myers; one son, Dwayne M. Myers and wife Karen; three brothers, Howard G. Myers, Roger C. Myers, and Robert B. Myers; two grandchildren, Heather M. Shanholtzer and Brittney R. Shanholtzer; and one Great Granddaughter Mackenzie L. Doster. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8PM on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St. Frederick, Maryland. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Friday, June 22, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home.
