Mrs. Laura Rodriquez Staples, 82, of Frederick, died Sunday, June 17, 2012. She was the wife of the late Bradbury C. Staples. Born on January 27, 1930, in Monterrey, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Adolfo and Cuqita Rodriquez. Laura worked as the Foodservice Manager at Washington Adventist Hospital and as an office manager for a Nursing Agency, before her retirement. She was a member of the Washington Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church in Silver Spring for 45 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to over 13 countries, music, theater, books and most especially spending time with her family and loved dogs. She is survived by her daughters, Laura Escobar and husband Moises, Nancy Holcombe, Patricia Torano and husband Anthony, Christina Bromfield and husband Ken, 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister, Ester Rojas, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Staples. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at the Washington Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church, 12604 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20904.
