Jeannette Louise Ott

February 14, 1923 — June 30, 2012

Jeannette Louise Ott, 89, died on June 30 at Buckingham's Choice Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late Lt Col Robert Ott. Born on February 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Guy Anders and Virginia Burke. Mrs. Ott was an administrative assistant, working at Fort Detrick and at the Pentagon. She lived in Naples, Florida for 30 years and played golf nearly every day. After the death of her husband, she relocated to Buckingham's Choice to be near her daughter, sister and brother-in-law. Jeannette is survived by her daughter Marsha Stewart and her husband Randy of Walkersville, her grandchildren Todd McNitt, Christopher McNitt and George McNitt, Jr. all of Texas. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and 5 nieces. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 5, at 10 AM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, followed by interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
