Agnes Willoughby

Agnes Marea (Kimble) Willoughby, 93, of Frederick, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2012 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was the wife of 59 years, to Robert Holmes Willoughby. Born August 12, 1918, in Bridgewater, VA, she was the daughter of the late Walter P. and Mary Jane (Caricofe) Kimble. She was a charter member of Good Shepherd Church of the Brethren and Arlington Church of the Brethren. In her early years, Agnes worked as a registered nurse, but was most proud of her time spent as a homemaker. In addition to her husband, Agnes is survived by one daughter, Gloria Carr and husband Michael of Bishopville, MD; two grandsons, Sean Carr and wife Lisa of Urbana, MD, and Brian Carr and wife Jamie of Frederick; one great grandson, Aiden Carr of Urbana and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by one son, Curtis Allen Willoughby, one brother, Ray Kimble; and four sisters, Helen Smith, Etta Williams, Ruth Kreibich, and Martha Sutton. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 4 p.m., in the chapel at Homewood at Crumland Farms, 7404 Willow Road, Frederick, MD 21702. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Homewood Benevolent Fund, P.O.
