Nancy Lee (Shankle) Fisher, 76, of Vera Beach, FL passed away on July 14, 2012 at the Sabastian River Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Mark R. Fisher Sr., who passed away in 1998. Born October 26, 1935 in Buckeystown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Wendell D. and May E. (Ponton) Shankle. She was a graduate of Frederick High School. She was a member of the Moose Lodge 1582 in Brunswick, and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Nancy enjoyed playing cards every Tuesday with her close friends Lena, Carol, June and her daughter. Nancy is survived her children, Teresa Hoffman and husband John, Mark Fisher and wife Cherie, JoAnne Hahn and husband Jerry, Susan Fisher, Jeff Fisher and Michael Fisher and wife Julia; grandchildren, Wendy Short, Jerry Hahn III, Mark Fisher III, Lindsey Bernier, Jeff Fisher, Katelyn Wolf, Britney Lowman, Kyle Rosendahl, Chase Fisher, and Hannah Fisher; and great grandchildren Tristen Deener, Kevin Short, Lillian Wolf, Olivia Bernier, and Skyler Fisher. In addition to her husband and parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her granddaughter Jessica Hausler. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, at 11a.m. in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Harry C. Cole will be officiating.
