Janet W. Shadrick

January 22, 1922 — July 22, 1912

Mrs. Janet W. Shadrick, formerly of Crestwood Village, Frederick, died at Lorien Assisted Living of Mt. Airy on Sunday, July 22, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Arnold A. Shadrick, her husband of 61 years. Janet was born on January 22, 1922 to the late William and Madeline Wharton in Reading, PA. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Frederick and a former member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Beltsville. Janet was a life long homemaker who was devoted to her family. Surviving are four children, Arnold Shadrick and wife Suzanne of York, PA, Inez Rosenberger and husband Bill of Damascus, MD, Robert Shadrick and wife Cathy of Pasadena, MD, and William Shadrick and wife Mary Beth of Palm Harbor, FL.; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister Inez and brothers William and Robert. The family would like to express their thanks to the caring staff of Lorien, Carroll Hospice and to Dr. Joseph Ashwal. There will be no viewing. Internment and graveside service for the family will be at Mt. Olivet, Frederick on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Harry C. Cole will officiate. In lieu of flowers contributions in Mrs. Shadrick's memory may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 133 W. Second St., Frederick, MD 21701.
