Mark Alexander

Mr. Mark Alexander, Jr., 69, of Frederick, died on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born in Frederick on November 7, 1942, Mark was a son of the late Horace "Buck" Markwood, Sr., and Kathryn Tinney Alexander. For many years Mark worked as a Certified Public Account in Frederick. He was a member of the Frederick Elks Lodge, Frederick Lions Club, Owls Club and for many years he was a member of the Frederick County Fish and Game Protective Association also known as Camp Kanawa. Mark was also active as a board member for Hospice of Frederick County. Surviving are his family members, Mark L. Alexander and wife Patricia, of Cumberland, Scott M. Alexander and wife Cathy, of Hagerstown, Jon P. Alexander and wife Christine, of Frederick, and Brian McKoy and wife Kim, of Ijamsville, grandchildren, Connor Alexander, Lindsay Dolan, Sydney Alexander, Paxton Alexander, Morgan Alexander, Paige Alexander, Logan McKoy and Wyatt McKoy. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., on Sunday, August 5, 2012, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. A celebration of Mark's life will begin at 4:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O.
