Robert Eugene Crawford

Mr. Robert Eugene Crawford, 82, of Frederick, died on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the Northampton Manor Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Mary Etta Hagan Crawford, who died on January 1, 2011. Born in Millville, West Virginia on June 11, 1930, he was a son of the late Vertis Luther and Bessie Virginia Bussard Crawford. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, during the Korean War. He retired from Kettler Brothers in Rockville, after 22 years as the payroll master. Surviving are his family members, Donald E. Crawford and Stacey, of Libertytown, Todd A. Crawford and Roxie, of Walkersville, Douglas S. Crawford, of Frederick, and Michelle D. Crawford, of Brunswick, one sister, Maxine Wright and husband Gene, of Millville, West Virginia, seven grandchildren, Glen Crawford and wife Heather, Hunter, Erin , Michael , Taylor, Brian and Marshall Crawford, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Crawford. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. James S. Flora, will officiate. Interment will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
