Vera Simon

Mrs. Vera Simon, 89, died on August 11, 2012 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was the wife of the late Irwin Louis Simon. Born on March 13, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Lillian (Lindsey) Taylor of Wiltshire, England. She is survived by her children, David L. Simon and wife Guadalupe of New Jersey, Deborah T. LaGarde and husband Gordon of Myersville and Anne E. Simon and husband Robert Vines of New York. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 15 from 5 to 7 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 16 at 10:00 AM at Braddock Lutheran Church, 6938 North Clifton Road, Braddock Heights, with The Rev. Arthur E. Woolley officiating. Interment will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, 14205 Pleasant Valley Road Northeast, Flintstone, Maryland. Graveside services will be held promptly at 2:00 PM.
