Mrs. Vada Twentey Lantz, 96, of Frederick, died Friday, August 17, 2012, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Twice married, she was the wife of the late Louis E. Twentey and the late Merhl A. Lantz. Mrs. Lantz was born on December 10, 1915, in Frederick County; she was the daughter of the late Wade and Sadie (DeLauter) Warrenfeltz. She graduated from Middletown High School and Frederick Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed by the hospital for many years, did private duty nursing and was the office nurse for Dr. Melvin E. Lea from 1959 until his death in 1971. She was a member of the FMH Nurses Alumnae Association and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick. Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Twentey and wife Donna of Walkersville and Donald E. Twentey and wife Mabel of Damascus, four grandchildren, Ian C. Twentey and wife Cara of New Market, Ryan Twentey and wife Mary Lynn of Bel Air, Gregory Twentey and wife Ruth of Snoqualmie, WA and Suzanne Clipsham and companion Jeff Long of Brunswick, five great-grandchildren, brother, Donald Warrenfeltz and wife Betty of Hagerstown, numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Arrangements are being made by Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Monday, August 20, 2012, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Those wishing to attend should assemble at the Francis Scott Key Memorial Chapel in the cemetery. Rev. Dr. W. Phillip Fogarty will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be shared to the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 35 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 or the Frederick Memorial Hospital Alumnae Association.
