Betty Victoria Gibbons

May 26, 1921 — August 18, 2012

Mrs. Betty Victoria Gibbons, 91, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her home. She was the wife of the late Millard Preston Gibbons Sr. Born May 26, 1921 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Elmer E. and Helen G. (Stauffer) Michael. Betty had a love for plants and flowers and enjoyed tending to her flower beds. She was a life member of Jefferson United Methodist Church. Betty is survived by one son, Millard P. Gibbons Jr.; two daughters, Frances A. Page and Nancy L. Smith; one brother, David E. Michael; one sister, Florence Virts; eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents; Betty was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Shreve and Rosalind Free; and two grandchildren Chriztine and Duston Gibbons. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 21 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 22 in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet cemetery.
