Mrs. Constance "Connie" Eugenia (Boone) Strasberger, of Braddock Heights, died August 23, 2012. She was the loving wife of George R. Strasberger; a wonderful and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother and friend. Born April 7, 1933 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles James Boone and Madeline Harshman Boone of Braddock Heights, Maryland. She was a 1951 graduate from Frederick High School and graduated from Towson State Teacher's College. Connie started her teaching career at Elm Street School in Frederick and then became a homemaker and full time mother when the children were young. She returned to teaching English at Thomas Johnson Junior and Senior High School, and later at Frederick High School. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick and active in the Mother's Club. Devoted to her family, Connie always showed strength, courage and grace. She was a loving caregiver to her mother, Madeline Boone, for over 20 years. Surviving are her loving husband, George, and her daughters, Lynn Einfeldt and husband Scott, Atlanta, GA; Beth Hogberg and husband Robert, Atlanta, GA; and son Stephen Strasberger, Hobe Sound, FL; four grandchildren: Hillary Einfeldt, Nathaniel Einfeldt, Matthew Hogberg and Robert Hogberg, four cousins, Kenneth Rudy and wife Carol, Frederick, Jeannette Brust, Middletown; Richard Rudy and wife Janet, Middletown, Gary Rudy and wife Hope, Middletown, and several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who loved her so very much. Connie was a true treasure who loved the beach and spending time with her family. The family will receive friends and family from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 26, 2012, at Keeney and Basford, Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Monday, August 27th, 2012, at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 35 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Pastor Dave Albertson will officiate. Interment will follow at the Middletown Lutheran Cemetery.
