Beverly Ann Armentrout

July 4, 1939 — August 29, 2012

Beverly Ann (Thompson) Armentrout, 73, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at her home. Born July 4, 1939, in Montgomery County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late C. Leroy and Hilda (Hobbs) Thompson. She worked from the home, raising her daughters and tending the farm. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking and operated her own catering business. Beverly is survived by her three daughters, Caroline D. Marrs and husband Ted, Roberta L. Johnson and husband James Henry, and Joanna L.A. Shapiro and husband Kenny; one brother, Larry Thompson; seven grandchildren, Franklin, Taylor, Heather, Jake, Harrison, Blue and Cedar; step-mother, Sylvia Thompson; aunt, Inez Snow; and two half-sisters, Michelle and Nancy. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701. The family will attend graveside services at the Colesville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 4 Research Boulevard, Suite 180, Rockville, Maryland 20840.
