Mrs. Joyce Beatrice (Gouge) Bostic, 82, of Mt. Airy, died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joe Bostic Jr. Born January 15, 1930, in Bakersville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Eva (McKenney) Gouge. She is survived by her children, Charlotte Ringley, Judy Boswell, Joey Bostic, Carolyn Andrews, Patsy McKenzie and Eric Bostic, sisters, Helen Morea, Jean Shaffer and Linda Tipton, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Jackie Stair, Lois Bostic and Billie June Bostic. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM following the receiving of friends. Rev. Tim Leaman will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
