Ruth Gloria Horton

Mrs. Ruth G. Horton, age 90 of Frederick formerly of Temple Hills, Maryland passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012. She was the loving wife of the late Navy Lieutenant Fred B. Horton who was killed in the line of duty in 1952. She was born in Camp Springs, Maryland. After completing high school, Mrs. Horton worked as a telephone operator. After her marriage and starting her family, she devoted her life to being a good wife, mother and homemaker. Following her husband's death, she supported her family as a waitress. In her free time she enjoyed her flowers and gardening. She was the mother of C. T. (Tom) Horton and wife Joy of Placentia, California, David B. Horton and wife Marie of Adamstown, Larry D. Horton & wife Mary Ann of Lothain, Maryland, and Ellen L. Harris & husband Blaine of Allen, Texas and the grandmother of Monique, Megan and Allie. All services will be private and the interment will be scheduled at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
