Courtney Virginia Barthlow

Mrs. Courtney Virginia Barthlow, 98, of Frederick, died on Thursday, November 22, 2012, at the Sunrise Assisted Living Community, where she had been residing. She was the wife of the late Russell Samuel Barthlow, who died January 28, 2000 and they were married for 64 years. Born in Frederick on June 18, 1914, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Alice Allie Harrison Tobery. She was a graduate of Frederick High School Class of 1933, a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading and she also loved to travel. Surviving her is one brother, Gordon H. Tobery and wife Irene, one niece, Pamela Hayes and husband Kevin, all of Westminster, great niece, Nancy H. Sergass and husband Jim, and great nephew, Timothy Hayes and wife Stephanie. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, November 26, 2012, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. The Rev. Dr. Robert Driver Bishop, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
