Mr. Randall Eugene "Randy" Carey, 55, of Frederick, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born September 10, 1957, in Frederick, he was the son of Margaret Regina Carey and the late Ralph F. Carey. Randy graduated from Brunswick High School Class of 1975 and served in 82nd Airborne in North Carolina. He was a mechanic in the Frederick area for numerous years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by brothers, Allen Carey and Vince Carey, sister, Daphne Maught and husband Charlie, nephew, Matt Maught and niece, Danielle Maught. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by nephew, Andy Maught. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Keeney & Basford funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM, on Monday, December 24, 2012, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel. Pastor Charlene Barnes will officiate. Internment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
