Mrs. Eleanor Louise (Henderson) Doody, 62 of Middletown, Maryland, passed away on January 2, 2013 at her home. She was the loving wife of Dr. Daniel Doody. Born March 21, 1950 in Campobello, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Eunice (Ellenburg) Henderson. Eleanor had a love for people especially women and children; she worked as the Dean of Women at Liberty University. She was a missionary in Kenya, Africa, she was a director at a crisis pregnancy center, a counselor for homeless and women and children, and dedicated her time to teaching special needs children in the Frederick County Public School system. She was a longtime member of Grace Community Church in Middletown. She enjoyed working on crafts, and loved to bake. Eleanor was known as a people person, dedicating her life to her family and many close friends, she will certainly be missed by those she loved. In addition to her husband, Eleanor is survived by two sons, Sean Doody and wife Joanne and Robert Doody and wife Loni; two daughters, Kimberley Myers and husband Mike, and Katrina Antezana and her late husband David; and fifteen grandchildren, Leni, Justin, Michael and wife Kristi, Isabelle, Tiffany, Cassidy, Jake, Axel, Toni, Erika, Noah, Rachel, Jackson, Tyler and Elliana. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday, January 4, at Grace Community Church, 5102 Old National Pike, Frederick, Maryland. The funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 5 at the church. Pastor R. Dallas Greene will officiate. Inurnment will be held in South Carolina.
