Stanley Ward Wachter

Mr. Stanley Ward Wachter, Jr., 81, of Frederick, died on January 6, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Patricia Noreen (Bartlett) Wachter for 53 years. Born on October 21, 1931, he was the son of the late Stanley Ward Wachter, Sr. and Maude Heffner Murphy Wachter. Mr. Wachter was a master carpenter. He enjoyed camping at various beaches, crabbing and surf fishing. He also had a wonderful vegetable garden and rose garden. In addition, he would also like to listen to old country music. He is survived by his daughter, Gale Galati and her husband Anthony, grandchildren Michael Galati and his fiancé Megan Rowe and Daniel Galati and his wife Cecilia as well as siblings Emory Wachter, Ruth Mohler and Helen Fowler. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Wachter and siblings Evangeline Young and Virgie Lee Bowers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 AM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be in Clustered Spires Cemetery, Frederick. Those wishing to give may make a memorial contribution to the Frederick Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1003, Frederick, Maryland 21702.
