Meredith Eugene Rice, 75, of Frederick, died on Monday, January 14, 2013, at his home. Born in Frederick, on May 2, 1937, he was a son of the late William Christopher and Bessie Louise Carmack Rice. Mr. Rice was retired from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He will be missed by his many friends at Lohr's Family Restaurant. He was of the Lutheran faith. Surviving is one brother, Glenn E. Rice, of Frederick, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Louise Oden. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, January 17, 2013, in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Middletown. Rev. Ronald E. Reaves. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
