Mrs. Betty Virginia Adams Duvall, 82, of Frederick, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Leo Thomas Duvall, who died on September 19, 2007. Born in Buckeystown on January 19, 1930, she was a daughter of the late David A. and Emily Cutsail Adams. Betty was a graduate of the Frederick Hospital Nursing Program in 1951, as a registered nurse, and began working at the hospital in the Emergency Room. She then worked in the private nursing field, and retired in 1986 as an industrial nurse from Eastalco Company. She was a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her three children, Georgianna Duvall Lovelace and husband Richard, of Randallstown, Blair Thomas Duvall and wife Leslie, of Fredericksburg, VA and Leanna Duvall Koehl, of Frederick, one brother, Maynard Adams and wife Evelyn, of Rockville, a sister-in-law, Ann Cline and husband Robert, of Frederick, five grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Hoffer and husband Benjamin, Roy Thomas Duvall, Colin Alexander Duvall, Madison Anna Grigsby, and Jesse Lovelace, one step granddaughter, Kendral Koehl, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Mark H. Koehl. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, January 18, 2013, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. Paul Mundey and Rev. Sandi Evans Rogers, will officiate.
