Ms. Terry Lynn (Ward) Grimes, 54, of Urbana, died Friday, January 18, 2013, at her residence. Born on December 6, 1958, in Frederick, she was the daughter of B. Dianne Ward and the late William "Bill" Harry Ward. In addition to her mother, she is survived by 2 sons, Chris Grimes and wife Jamie and Matt Grimes and fiancé Holly Boyce, granddaughters, Chloe Grimes and Emma Fuentes, brother, Dave Ward and wife Jennifer, sister, Sandy Miller and husband Charles, 3 nieces, Kristen, Maegan and Makayla and 1 nephew, Brandon, and 1 great niece Courtney, best friend, Sharon White and numerous church friends from the Wesley Chapel UMC. Ms. Grimes was a graduate of Frederick High School Class of 1976. She worked as an Information Specialist at NIST for over 20 years. She was member of the Wesley Chapel UMC in Urbana and a co-Chairman of the Zion Church Preservation Committee in Urbana with Mr. Knight Kiplinger. In her spare time, she enjoyed yard sales, dining out and family genealogy. Many of her Civil War history articles were published over the years including in the Frederick News Post. Most importantly, she was a devoted grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dee William and Connie (Strube) Schaeffer, paternal grandmother, Gladys (Nichols) Ward. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7pm, on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be at 11:00AM, Thursday, January 24, 2013, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Pastor Sandi Phillips will officiate.
