Eleanor Gilbert

Mrs. Eleanor Sigler Gilbert, 87, of Frederick, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Heartfields Assisted Living, Frederick. She was the wife of the late George Edel Gilbert, who passed away September 2006. Born on April 17, 1925, in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Wendell P. and Elizabeth (Bickford) Sigler. Mrs. Gilbert was member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Frederick and the Air Force Officer's Wives Club of Fort Detrick. She is survived by children, Monica Tague, Gail Pearson, Amanda Neff, Jonathan Gilbert and Elizabeth Angel, brother, Wendell Prugh Sigler, and 10 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date at All Saints Episcopal Church, 106 W. Church Street, Frederick. Inurnment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Fort Myer, VA.
