Margaret Hall Volk, 91, of Pryor, Oklahoma and formerly of Cherry Hill and Cape May, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013. She was the beloved wife of 61 years of the late Anthony L. Volk. Born, May 18, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Stella E. (Hayes) Hall. Margaret was an avid reader, loved the ocean, viewing sunsets from the back porch, music - especially playing her keyboard, and spending time with her family. She had a keen sense of humor which was enjoyed and will be remembered by all who knew her. Prior to retiring, she worked for the Cherry Hill, NJ Board of Education for more than 18 years. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her two daughters: Janis Paulikas and husband William of Ijamsville, MD, and Linda Halford and husband Sherdain of Pryor, OK; five grandchildren: Nicole Daw (Matthew) of Chevy Chase, MD, Jill Seaman (Andrew) of Frederick, MD , Lisa Bryant (Steve) of Broken Arrow, OK , Tony Halford (Tienna) of Perkins, OK, and James Halford of Pryor, OK; six great-grandchildren: Peyton and Parker Seaman, Madison and Logan Daw, Riley and Christopher Bryant; and one brother, Edward Hall of Delran, NJ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jack and William Hall, and sister, Mary Louise Neal. Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 8, 2013 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Saint John's the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. Second Street, Frederick. Interment will then follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
