Mr. Henry Lee Keller, 78, of Frederick, died on Sunday, February 3, 2013, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Catherine Eleanor "Petie" Miller Keller, who died on May 18, 2005. Born in Buckeystown on August 31, 1934, he was a son of the late Havery Nelson and Halga Mae Neil Keller. Henry was a graduate of the Frederick High School Class of 1952 and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked several years as a carpenter and as a salesman for Kehne's Carpet One and also for Stroup's Flooring America, from where he retired. He was a very active member of the Buckeystown United Methodist Church and served the church in many capacities including painting and general fix me up projects. He had a great love for his church and enjoyed spending time with his family and special friend Jerry Keller, of Lovettsville, Va. Henry was a past member of the Carroll Manor Lions Club and an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox's and the Baltimore Ravens of which he would be so proud of the super bowl win. Surviving are his two step daughters, Anna C. Cunningham and husband Chris, and Susan J. Wilt and husband Bill, all of Pennsylvania, three brothers, Thomas C. Keller, and wife Doris, Charles C. Keller and wife Jane, and Jerry G. Keller, all of Frederick, three sisters, Lauretta M. Smith, of Frederick, Patsy A. Nicholson and husband Harry, of Monterey, CA and Gloria J. Rice and husband Russell, (Junie), of Frederick, and many nieces and nephews, also surviving are two step grandchildren, John W. Wilt II and Jennifer Chamberlin and husband Scott, and three great grandchildren, Zachery and Jackson Chamberlin and Mason Bosley. He was preceded in death by a brother, William N. Keller. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, February 7, 2013, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Emily Berkowitz, pastor of the Buckeystown United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
