Albert Thomas Simmons, Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland died Sunday February 10, 2013 at 81 years of age. He was the husband of Jacquie Lou Simmons who predeceased him July 10th, 2010. Mr. Simmons was born May 26th, 1931; he was the son of Albert Thomas Simmons, Sr. and Julia Helen Navratil. Surviving are four children, Albert Thomas Simmons III, and Wife Sara of Frederick, Jack C. Simmons of West Virginia, Edward J. Simmons, and wife Tracy of Frederick, and Carl L. Simmons of Florida; seven grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Albert served in the Army during the Korean War and was a long time employee of the Montgomery County Public School System before retiring to New Smyrna, Florida in 1997. He returned to Frederick, Maryland in 2012 to be closer to his family after the death of his wife. Friends will be received at the Frederick Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Avenue, Frederick, Maryland Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the church at 8 p.m. immediately following visitation.
