Lou Ann Keyser

Mrs. Lou Ann Keyser, 73, of Knoxville and formerly of Adamstown, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Max A. Keyser, who died in 2006. They were married on February 28, 1958, and were married for 48 years. Born in Loundon County, Virginia on September 27, 1939, she was a daughter of the late George Raymond and Bartolia Louise Beach Potts. Lou Ann was a homemaker for most of her life, she was a super mom and grandmother , loved spending time with her entire family, enjoyed family trips and attending sporting events of her grandchildren. She also loved country music, dancing, playing bingo, working puzzle books, reading and walking. She was a member of the Emmanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, in Adamstown and the Women of the Moose Lodge 371, Frederick. Surviving are her three children, Allen Keyser and wife Dawna, of Frederick, Margaret Ann "Sissy" Heffner, of Frederick, and Norma "Jeannie" Remsberg and husband Gary, of Knoxville, one brother, George F. Potts, three sisters, Georgia Mae Myers, Mary Patricia Benoit and Alice Marie Hargett, five grandchildren, Ryan Keyser and Michelle, of Augusta, W. VA, Blaine Keyser and Kimi, of Roundhill, VA, Jared Robert, Haley Jean and Addie Jean Remsberg, all of Knoxville, also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Dorothy "Dot" Darr. She was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter and one sister, Margaret Louise Boatwright. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Pastor Charlene Barnes, pastor of Emmanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. Honorary pallbearers will be; Jared, Haley and Addie Remsberg, active pallbearers will be; Ryan Keyser, Blaine Keyser, Tony Young, Jimmy May, Jeff Keyser and Raymond Myers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Emmanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, 5132 Doubs Road, Adamstown, MD 21710 or to the Humane Society of Frederick County, 217 West Patrick Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
