DAVIS, Hilda Marie, 93, of Tampa, passed away February 12, 2013. She graduated from Lee High School in Jacksonville, Florida. She then attended the Jacksonville Conservatory of Music. She moved to Miami, Florida where she met her future husband, Floyd Clinton Davis. Mrs. Davis worked at the Miami office of the Venezuelan Consulate. She lived in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for many years before moving to Tampa in 1962. After the passing of her beloved husband, Floyd, she became one of the first residents to move into University Village. There she found many new friends and a caring staff. Hilda Marie Davis was preceded in death by her father, Edward Cook; step father, Samuel H. Usher; her mother, Leafy Usher; as well as her loving husband, Floyd Clinton Davis. She is survived by her son, Donald Drew Davis and her daughter-in-law, Judith Bracey Davis, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Graveside Funeral Services will be on Monday, February 18, at 10:30 am at St. Paul Cemetery, Point of Rocks, Maryland.
