Robert Eugene Kennedy

Mr. Robert Eugene "Bobby" Kennedy, 78, of Frederick, died on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the Citizens care and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of the late Margaret Ellen Warner Kennedy, who died in 2010. Born in Frederick, on December 28, 1934, he was a son of the late Thomas J. and Madge P. Stephens Kennedy. Bobby had worked as a cashier for the Goodwill Thrift Store for several years. He was a graduate of St. Johns School and was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He wrote many letters to the editor of the Frederick News Post relating to politics. Surviving him is a god son and nephew, Steven L. Kennedy, of Middletown and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Merrick, and two brothers, James T. and Richard L. Kennedy. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 15, 2013, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 east Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Deacon John L. Manley, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
