Larry Robert Reed, Sr

February 17, 1940 — April 16, 2013

Mr. Larry Robert Reed Sr., 73 of Warrenton, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Fauquier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Mable Seline Reed. Born February 17, 1940 in Poolesville, Maryland he was the son of the late Dewey Alton and Vergie Pangle (Thompson) Reed. He retired from his work as a carpenter and loved watching baseball. Larry is survived by his wife Mable and three sons, Scott Reed, William Reed and Robert Reed Jr. and wife Candice; one brother, Alton Reed; three sisters Nancy Shores, Renee Ribot, and Tena Ryan; sister-in-law, Callie Reed; twelve grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Sue Reed; two brothers Dewey Reed Jr., and William Reed; and one granddaughter Sydney Reed. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm on Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701. Funeral services will begin at 2 pm on Friday. Reverend Kenneth Dunnington will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
