Carrillon Barbara Knill

Mrs. Carillon Barbara Knill, 70, of Frederick, died suddenly on Friday, June 7, 2013, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife of William H. Knill. Born in Hagerstown on January 3, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Olivia Hartsock. Carillon was retired after 33 years with the Fredericktowne Bank as an assistant vice-president. She enjoyed reading, sewing and loved the outdoors and watching wildlife. Her most rewarding time, was spending time with her entire family of which she had a great love for them all and also her special dog Panda. Surviving in addition to her husband are her three children; Denise K. Cramer, of Frederick, William G. Knill and wife Debbie, of Westminster, and Pamela M. Masser and husband Chris, of Frederick, two brothers, Earl Hartsock and wife Sharry and Ersel Hartsock and wife Norma, all of Williamsport, seven grandchildren, Kevin and Leah Cramer, Felicia, Kaleigh and Cassidy Knill, and Christopher and Alyssa Masser, one great granddaughter, Aliyah. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. Robert Driver-Bishop, pastor of Evangelical Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Frederick County Humane Society, 5712 Industry Lane, Frederick, MD 21704.
