Mr. Russell Eugene "Buck" Hewitt, Sr., 81, of Frederick, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Evelyn D. (DeGrange) Hewitt. Born on October 8, 1931, in Lewistown, MD, he is the son of the late Raymond W. and Leona M. (Brice) Hewitt. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Candy Gray and husband David, Christina Corum and husband Ricky, Carol Leigh and husband Ronnie, Lisa Parks and husband Kenny, Bucky Hewitt Jr. and Frank Hewitt Sr. and wife Joanie, brother, Lamar Hewitt, sister, Patricia Wolfe, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm, on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Lt. Mike Michels will officiate. Interment will follow at Lewistown Cemetery, Lewistown. Pallbearers will be Justin Renner, Phillip Parks, Tony Hess, Damion Corum, Robert Hess, Frank Hewitt Jr. and Steven DeGrange. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Jonathan Parks.
