Gladys Irene Obenderfer

Mrs. Gladys Irene Dennis Obenderfer, 91, of Frederick, died on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at the Northampton Manor Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late John W. Obenderfer, Jr., who died in 2006. Born in Frederick County on March 31, 1922 she was a daughter of the late Joseph Thomas and Ida Rebecca Davis Dennis. Surviving is a sister, Betty M. Easton, of Frederick, nephew, Bernard E. Dennis II and fiancé, Tina Gibson, of Frederick, several cousins and a great niece Rachel E. Dennis. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard E. Dennis, Sr., who died in 2012. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Pastor David Hughes, will officiate.
