Barbara Anne Shaulis

August 30, 1956 — July 8, 2013

Barbara Anne Shaulis, a loving mother and dear friend passed on Monday, July 8, 2013 in Frederick Memorial Hospital at 56 years old. Barbara was born in Alaska on August 30, 1956 to Roy Shaulis and Lucy Lawhorne. She is survived by her son, Michael R. Shaulis, her two sisters, Carolyn Zambanini and Deanna Ables, her step-mother Marty Shaulis, and her fiance and dearest friend, William (Bill) Tompkins. Barbara was a wild-child at heart, who enjoyed a rocking tune, and whose smile was beyond contagious. She will be remembered for her laugh, her enduring strength, which seemed miraculous at times, but most of all, her whispers of "I love you" as she hugged you goodbye. She is and will always be in our hearts. Friends will be received on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 12 Noon. The interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Germantown. Arrangements by the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
