Kenneth Marvin Cook

August 5, 1945 — July 10, 2013

Mr. Kenneth Marvin Cook, 67, of Frederick, died on July 10, 2013 at Kline Hospice House, Mount Airy. Born on August 5, 1945, he was the son of the late John Melvin Cook and Dorothy M. Ruthvin. Born in Frederick, he worked on his parents' Libertytown farm on Dollyhyde Road. Mr. Cook also worked at Meadows Van Storage for a number of years and recently was employed by Giant Eagle for the last 10 years. He was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Ravens. For over 20 years, Mr. Cook was assisted by the Way Station of Frederick. Ken is survived by his daughter Ellen Bausum of Frederick and his grandchildren Josiah and Anastasia Bausum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Thomas Milton Cook. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Way Station Inc, P.O. Box 3826, Frederick, MD 21705-3826 or to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799 Frederick, MD 21702.
