Betty Evonne Blentlinger

October 15, 1934 — July 15, 2013

Betty Evonne (Fox) Blentlinger, 78 of New Market, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy. Born on October 15, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George Albert and Gladys Credella (Harrison) Fox. Betty worked at Sagners Sewing Factory until its closing when she went to work for HL Hartz & Company as a machine cutter. Betty loved to play Bingo, but the most special time was spent caring for her grandchildren and watching them grow. She is survived by one daughter Sonya J. Boyer; two sons William T. Blentlinger III and wife Veronica and Bryan Fox and wife Terry; one sister, Dorothy Louise Price; two special grandchildren Clayton T. Blentlinger and Claire M. Blentlinger; dear friend Betty Crown; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by six siblings, Helen Knode, William Fox, Frances Fox, Robert Fox, Beverly Jones and Nancy Wiles. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, July 19 at the funeral home. The Reverend Kenneth Stalls will officiate. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in Betty's honor to Hospice of Frederick County, PO Box 1799, Frederick, Maryland 21702.
