Ms. Mary Louise Kidd, 81, of Frederick, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center, Frederick. She was the wife of the late Stanley R. Kidd. Born on August 11, 1931, in Lime Kiln, she was daughter of the late Paul and Charlotte (Rippeon) Simpson. Ms. Kidd worked at Sagners until its closing and later worked in child care. She is survived by her children, Patty Gladhill and husband Edward, Debra Moore, Jeffrey Kidd and wife Karin, grandchildren, Melinda Hedden, Tracy Kinna and husband Eric and Amy McGillicuddy and husband Patrick, step-grandchildren, Jordan Wathen and Zachery Wathen, great-grandchildren, Justin Hedden, Tyler Zimmerman and Trevor Kinna, brother, Richard Simpson, sisters, Connie Ross, Betty Ann Smith and Sue Tyeryar, sister-in-law, Shirley Simpson, devoted friends, Carol Harrison and Doris Garber. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Simpson and Donald Simpson. The family will receive friends from 3pm to 7pm, on Friday, July 19, 2013, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be at 10:00AM, on Saturday, July 20, 2013, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Rev. David Albertson will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Suite 908, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
