Ms. Brenda Kay Boone, age 50 of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at home. She was the loving and devoted companion for 12 years to Jim Gibbons of Frederick. Born on January 6, 1963 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Ruth Boone of Frederick and the late Robert Boone who passed away in 2010. Ms. Boone was a 1981 graduate of Thomas Johnson High School. She was a member of the Patriotic Club, the Frederick Eagles and the Redman's club. She was an die heart Redskin fan and always cheered for Jeff Gordon. Ms. Boone is survived by her son, Robert Fritz, III of Frederick, her sisters Donna Doody and husband Joseph of Ijamsville and Robin Boone of Frederick and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her brother Bobby Joe Boone. Friends will be received on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 2 to 3 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home beginning at 3 PM. The internment will be private.
