Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Creager Summers, 93, of Jefferson, died on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at her son's home in Knoxville. She was the wife of the late Harry Warren Summers. Born in Frederick on October 1, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Nora Spurrier Creager. Mrs. Summers had worked as the office manager for HC Summers in Jefferson,and also for John D. Hendrickson and the Automobile Club of Maryland. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Jefferson. She enjoyed collecting and restoring antiques, cooking and her flower gardens. She was devoted to her family and loved sharing her time with them. Surviving her is one son, Richard C. Summers, of Knoxville, her grandchildren, Jeremiah W. Summers and Elizabeth L. Willard and husband George, two great grandchildren, Ashton and Tiffany Willard., a sister-in-law, Bernice W. Summers, of Jefferson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen W. Summers in 1990, two sisters, Catherine M. Creager and Agnes L. Oland, one brother and his wife, Burton M. Creager and Louise. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 22, 2013, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Timothy S. May, will officiate. Interment will follow in the St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Jefferson. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of Frederick County, P. O.
