Helen Marie (McKenzie) Kreh, 95 of Frederick, Maryland, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Montevue Assisted Living. She was the wife of the late Floyd Elmer Kreh. Born February 19, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Clara Louise (Sanders) and James Leo McKenzie. She was a member of Saint John's the Evangelist Catholic Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters and a member of the Rainbow Girls. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jeanne Harley and husband Robert; two grandchildren Timothy Robert Harley and wife Cindy, Michael Eugene Harley and wife Linda; three great grandchildren, Robert Allen Harley, Cynthia Marie Harley and Michael G. Harley; two step-great grandchildren, Courtney Dean and Chelsea Dean; great great granddaughter Lily Harley; sister-in-law, Nora McKenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Helen is preceded in death by her two sisters, Theresa Hahn and Bertha Fisher; two brothers, James L. McKenzie and Charles McKenzie. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday, September 11, at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1pm on Thursday, September 12 at Saint Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd Street, Frederick. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Stephen Gosnell. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
