Nicholas A. Greenwell

Mr. Nicholas A. Greenwell, age 28 of Frederick, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 28, 2013 at his residence. He was the loving son of John and Luray Greenwell, of Frederick. Nick was a 2004 graduate of St. John's Catholic School at Prospect Hall. Nick's career revolved around the culinary arts, working at various restaurants here in Frederick. Nick loved tattoos and collecting tennis shoes. Nick was constantly providing entertainment to those around him. He loved making people laugh. Nick was the brother of John P. Greenwell II whose wife is Melissa of Harpers Ferry, WV, and Elizabeth Vanderhuff whose husband is James of Frederick. He is also survived by his beloved nieces Sophia, Lucy, Nicole, and nephew John III, his maternal grandfather, Bill Bennett of Cumberland, and his paternal grandmother Lillian Jurney of Seaford, DE. Nick is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Eleanor Bennett. Friends will be received on Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 2-4 and from 6-8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick were services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 10 AM. Father Kevin Farmer will officiate.
