Evelyn Irene Breckenridge

Mrs. Evelyn I. Breckenridge, age 88 of Frederick passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2013. She was the wife of the late Carlos "Sally" Breckenridge who passed away in 1984. Born on March 7, 1925 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late John and Edith O'Brien. Mom-mom enjoyed gardening, cooking and most of all taking care of her family and others. She was well known by all for her baking. Mom-mom was the loving mother of Joyce Dinterman of Frederick, Carlos Breckenridge, Jr. and wife Ida of Hagerstown, and Linda Breckenridge of Frederick, the grandmother of Leslie Dinterman of Frederick, Kevin Breckenridge and wife Josi of Taylorville, IL, and Shawn Breckenridge of Frederick, and the great grandmother of C.J. Minks, Kyle Breckenridge and Sami Jo Breckenridge. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret O'Brien of Frederick and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brothers, John "Pete" O'Brien and wife Dorothy and Charles "Zeke" O'Brien. Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 20 from 10-11 AM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, where services will begin at 11 AM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
