Ruth Louise Wett

July 14, 1953 — December 8, 2013

Ms. Ruth Wett, 60, of Frederick, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, she grew up across the nation as her family moved from place to place. She attended The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington where she received a degree in History. She received her Master's degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. She settled in Washington State working and raising her daughter. She moved to Frederick, MD to be near her family. Ruth loved being a mother, gardening, reading and her church, All Saints Episcopal. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Cameron and Elizabeth's father, Jim Cameron, of Tacoma, WA; her parents, John and Elizabeth Wett, of Frederick, MD; her sisters, Cecilia Wett, of Germantown, MD; Ann Odehnal and husband, David, of Richmond, VA; Eve Coconis and husband, Michael, of Middletown, MD. She is also survived by niece and nephews, John and Alexandra Coconis and Nicholas and Patrick Odehnal. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 14, at 11:30 am at All Saints Episcopal Church, 106 W. Church St., Frederick MD. Friends are welcome. The interment is private.
