Richard Max Troxell

Mr. Richard "Max" Troxell, 96, of Frederick, died Monday, December 9, 2013, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy "Tiny" Troxell. Born on October 11, 1917, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Allen J. and Grace R. Troxell. Max was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. He was a Management Analyst for Fort Detrick for over 30 years. After retiring, he worked for Frederick City as a Purchasing Agent for 10 years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Frederick. In his spare time, he was an avid bowler and enjoyed horse racing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Sandy Seaton and husband Dave, sister-in-law, Mary Jane "Biggie" Wachter, numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Troxell is preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Jean Troxell, brother, Robert "Bob" Troxell, brother-in-law, Dick Wachter and sister-in-law, Marguerite McMurry.
