Mr. William "Dick" or "Bill" Klipp, age 74 went home to be with God on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Citizen's Nursing Home, Frederick. He resided with his granddaughter Chris Boyer Carswell and her husband William Chris Carswell in Frederick. He was the husband of the late Gertrude "Singie" (Ford) Klipp, who passed away in 1992. Born on June 27, 1939, he was the son of the late Robert and Helen Klipp. Mr. Klipp graduated from Frederick High School in the class of 1958. He served his country in the United States Army in Korea between the years 1958 and 1964. He served as a military policeman. He was a longtime member of the VFW #6658 in Emmitsburg, Frederick American Legion Post 11, AmVets Post 4 in Middletown and the 40/8 club. In his free time, he enjoyed antiques, Model trains, bluegrass and country music, watching professional wrestling, bingo and eating meals out with friends and family. Mr. Klipp was the father of: Patsy Miller and husband Paul, James Boyer and wife Lu Ann, Linda "Susie" Hislop, Virginia Gilbert and husband Denny, (the late) Joyce "Puddles" Judd, Sharon Norton and husband Steve, Robert Boyer, and Robin Smith and husband Robert. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces (the late) Leigh Ann Johnston, Kathy Harris, and Stacey Foxwell and nephew Jeff Klipp. Friends will be received on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 10-12 noon at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, MD 21701 where services will start at 12 noon in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Pastor Mary Ellen Geeslin will officiate. The interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Serving as pallbearers will be James Boyer, Paul Miller, Chris Carswell, Tyler Hislop, Brett Briggs, Noel Miller and Kyle Briggs.
