Mrs. Jane Sue R. Kolb, 88 previously of Crestwood Village, Frederick, Maryland and current residence of Montevue Assisted Living Community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 25, 2014 with her family by her side at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born September 18, 1925 in Breckenridge, Texas she was the daughter of James M. and Sue S. Reynaud of Overton, Texas and Frederick, Maryland. It was in Texas that she met her husband Oliver Thomas Kolb (Tom) at Love Field in Dallas. They married after WWII in 1946 and moved to Frederick where she resided since then; however, she would quickly tell you she was a Texan even though she has been in Frederick all this time. Sue and Tom would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary in March 2014. Mrs. Kolb was a 1942 graduate of Overton High School, Overton, Texas, and a graduate of McNee Business College in Henderson, Texas. She was previously employed by the Frederick County School District for ten years and The State's Attorney Office in Frederick, Maryland for ten years as Administrative Assistant. Sue is survived by her husband, Tom and her children: Karen Timon and husband Robert of Frederick, Maryland, Gary Kolb and wife, Jacquelyn, of Frederick, Maryland and David Kolb and wife Susan, of Colorado as well as four grand children and five great grandchildren. She also is survived by many cousins in Texas, California and Nevada. She was a longtime member of the Calvary United Methodist Church. Services will be held at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick on Thursday, January 30, 2014 beginning at 10 AM. Rev. Sarah Andrews Schlieckert will officiate. The interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 5-8 PM.
