William Lee Sams

Mr. William Lee Sams, 43, of Frederick, died on Monday, January 27, 2014, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husbnad of Melissa Smith Sams. Born in Baltimore on November 20, 1970, he was a son of Joyce Philpott Sams and the late John Sams. Step son of Charles "Popchuck" Bittinger. He was a member of the Buck and Bass Sportsman Club and enjoyed the outdoors. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are children, Isaiah and Angel Sams, Donald and Kim Jenson, three brothers, John Sams, Steve Sams and Chris Darr, also surviving are several grandchildren, aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Paul Papp, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
