Doris O'Neal

December 17, 1938 — February 6, 2014

Mrs. Doris Moats O'Neal, 75, of Frederick died on February 6 at Northampton Manor Nursing Home. Born on December 17, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Davis Moats and Katherine Snyder Moats. Doris is survived by her children, Timothy O'Neal and Cindy Shelton and her husband Edward as well as grandchildren Candace Wolfe and Joseph Wolfe, Jr. She is also survived by a great-grandson Aiden Simms and her sisters Betty Spankler and Margarite Penwell. The family would like to thank Betty for being such a devoted sister and friend to Doris and for assisting with getting her to doctor appointments. The family will receive friends on Wendesday, February 12 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 2:00 PM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Those attending the funeral home are asked to wear yellow, in memory of Mrs. O'Neal's favorite color. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are strongly requested by the family to the funeral home to help defray funeral costs.
