Michael Daniel Bernoske, 52, of Orlando, Florida and formerly Frederick, Maryland, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2014 at his home. Born on January 24, 1962 in Evanston, Illinois, he is the son of Daniel E. Bernoske, Damascus, MD and Denise GaNun, Frederick, MD. Michael graduated from Frederick High School in 1981 and went on to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona, FL. He was a member of the Southwest Airlines family for 20 years. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by stepmother, Diane Bernoske, his brother, Daniel Bernoske, and sisters Linda DeLaney, Marie Tondre, Kate Bernoske, and Amy Bernoske. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Anne Marie, Josh, and Matt DeLaney, Nikki and Jason Denlinger, and John, Peter, and Emma Tondre. Michael's deep passions were for car racing (an avid fan of the Indy 500), photography, and model building, The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 3-6pm at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 10 am at Saint Johns the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd Street, Frederick. Father Kevin Farmer will officiate. Interment will follow at Saint Peters Cemetery in Libertytown.
