Mrs. Dolly Rebecca Hooper, 87, of Walkersville, died on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Heartfields Assisted Living at Frederick. She was the loving wife of the late Robert B. Hooper, who died on September 12, 1996. Born in Locust Valley on October 31, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Henry Peter and Pearl Reeder Turner. Mrs. Hooper had worked as the school lunch manager for Walkersville and North Frederick Elementary Schools. She was a member of the Glade United Church of Christ and the Walkersville Senior Citizens, where she was a past president. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, oil painting and cooking. Surviving are her two daughters, MaryAnn Frank and husband Robert, of Frederick, and Sharon Rinta and husband Henry, of Walkersville, three grandsons, Adam Frank and wife Jennifer and Joseph Frank and wife Dawn, all of Frederick and Andrew Rinta and wife Sara, of Baltimore, great grandchildren, Sarah, Emily and Garrett Frank and Alex Rinta, sisters-in law, Margaret Butcher and Elizabeth Hooper and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, George H. Turner, Ellis A. Turner and J W Turner and two sisters, Mae Stevens and Kathleen Green. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Philip N. Curran, pastor of the Glade United Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
